Good to Know:

New on the Blog: Guava Girl Summer

The color of summer 2025 belongs to Guava Pink—a tropical, sun-kissed hue blending soft coral and blush tones with a juicy pop of fun.

Dubbed “Guava Girl Summer” by TikTok creators, this trend started with guava-flavored launches like Waterloo’s Guava Berry sparkling water and Dunkin’s Guava Refresher before exploding into fashion and beauty.

From Summer Fridays’ Guava Lip Butter (launching June 3) to Refy Beauty’s high-pigment Guava Cream Blush, there are endless ways to tap into this trend.

Wardrobe must-haves include:

  • Aritzia’s Square-Neck Top is perfect for casual yet chic summer looks

  • Floral maxi skirt for tropical vibes at brunch or dressy evenings

  • Monday Swimwear’s guava bikinis and one-piece suits are irresistible

  • Sam Edelman kitten heels with dainty straps and floral accents

Remember, incorporating trends doesn’t have to be about overconsumption; it can be intentional. Choose pieces you’ll enjoy beyond the season. A pop of color or a new scent can be a thoughtful way to refresh your routine and bring joy to the summer.

Founder News: Rhode Acquired by e.l.f for $1B

Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand Rhode recently made headlines with a $1 billion acquisition by e.l.f. Cosmetics.

Brand Growth: Since launching in 2022, Rhode has grown rapidly thanks to Hailey Bieber’s personal brand, social media reach, and curated products focused on “glazed” skin. Despite having just a handful of SKUs—most notably its viral lip treatments—Rhode has built a cult following.

The Deal: e.l.f. will acquire Rhode for $600 million in cash and $200 million of newly issued shares of e.l.f. common stock. The deal includes a potential $200 million payment based on the brand’s growth in the next three years. Hailey is staying on as Chief Creative Officer.

The Controversy: The $1 billion valuation has stirred skepticism, especially given Rhode’s small product range. Critics point out that more established brands with deeper catalogs—like Tatcha and Drunk Elephant—sold for significantly less.

  • The consensus? Fame fast-tracked this deal. Hailey’s celebrity status, combined with a strong team and heavy social media presence, allowed Rhode to scale at a pace traditional indie brands rarely achieve. The backlash highlights frustration with how fame skews the playing field in business.

The Takeaway: Rhode’s acquisition shows just how much weight celebrity carries in today’s consumer landscape. For Rhode, this deal could unlock major expansion—think increased production, product development, and availability in major retail channels.

Intentional Habit:

Try Something Your Inner Child Would Love

What: Try an activity your inner child would’ve loved—like painting, pottery, ballet, tennis, or even something unexpected like glass blowing or jewelry making.

Why: Tapping into childhood interests can boost creativity, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with joy for its own sake—not just for achievement or productivity.

Because growth isn’t always serious—sometimes it looks like glitter, clay, or a cartwheel.
